1. Registered name and trading name

Our registered legal entity is ASC Food Safety and Public Health Consultants (Pty) Ltd, a private company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa. We trade as ASC Pest Control.

2. Founding and background

ASC Pest Control was founded in 2019. We are South Africa's food safety specialist owned pest control company, built on the conviction that pest control is first and foremost a public health and food safety discipline. Because we audit facilities for a living, we approach every programme with the mindset of a food safety professional, not simply a chemical applicator.

3. Group structure

ASC Pest Control is part of the ASC Food Safety Consultants group. Our sister consultancy provides food safety systems, auditing and training under the ASC banner. Being part of this group means our pest control programmes are designed to sit comfortably inside your food safety management system and to hold up under audit.

4. Accreditations and registrations

We hold and work in line with the following credentials:

  • SAPCA member: ASC797 (South African Pest Control Association).
  • Registered Pest Control Operators (PCOs): under the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act 36 of 1947.
  • Structural Pest Control: registration number P43510.
  • SANS 10133 aligned: our programmes are aligned to the South African National Standard for the control of pests.
  • HACCP designed: our systems are designed around Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point principles.

6. Areas served

We serve clients across two of South Africa's key economic regions from our two offices:

  • Gauteng: including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Randburg, the East Rand and West Rand.
  • Eastern Cape: including Gqeberha, the surrounding Nelson Mandela Bay area and beyond.

We work with food and beverage manufacturers, warehousing and logistics operations, hospitality and retail businesses, healthcare and institutional facilities, offices and residential clients.

7. Leadership

ASC Pest Control is run by the ASC management team, a group of food safety and public health professionals with deep experience in auditing, standards implementation and pest management. Our technicians are registered pest control operators trained in food safety systems, HACCP and advanced pest control, so that the people on your site understand both the science of pest control and the standards you are audited against.
